In 1943, Dorothy Schuthe (centre), while working for the Canadian Navy, got a 72-hour pass during which she made her first and only trip to New York City. While there, she saw the original production of The Voice of the Turtle, which became the 9th-longest running play in Broadway history. Now, 67 years later, she saw the Classic Theatre Festival’s production in Heritage Perth on August 18, 2010, and found the play and the actors “thoroughly enjoyable.”

She plans to return, at age 91, for our 2011 summer season!
